Enabling or Disabling Package Keys

The Package Keys can be enabled or disabled on the Package Keys page. Enabling or disabling the Package Keys controls specific developer access to APIs without modifying the Plans and affecting other users.

  • Disabling a package key blocks all API requests made with that key. No API calls will succeed while the key is disabled.
  • Enabling a package key allows API traffic to pass through, with calls managed by the Traffic Manager according to the rules defined in the associated Plan.

You can enable or disable Package keys in one of the following ways:

Procedure

  1. Navigate Manage > Package Keys. This opens the Manage your Package Keys page.

  2. In the Status column, click the Enabled or Disabled link next to the row you want to update the package key status.

    note

    This link is not available for the Boomi Enterprise Platform users.

Procedure

  1. Navigate Manager > Package Keys. This opens the Manage your Package Keys page.

  2. In the Key column, click the key link or Settings icon next to the row you want to update the package key status. This opens the Package Key Settings: <your api name> page.

  3. In the Status field, click the Enabled or Disabled link next to the row you want to update the package key status.

  4. Click Save. The status of the specific Package Key has changed.
